Balti
If I remember correctly, I had my first and only Balti in Ellesmere Port back in the 80's and I recall it was quite good. I understand it was developed by either the Pakistan or Bangladesh community in Birmingham (UK). I do cook what I call balti potatoes as an accompaniment to curry but I've never cooked a "proper" balti. Has anyone had experience of cooking baltis and could suggest a tried and tested recipe (preferably chicken based)?
Cheers

Re: Balti
There is a lovely Lamb Balti on this site, just put in Balti on the search above. Although its for a Lamb Balti Jamie says it works just as well with chicken.. it sounds good ![]()

Re: Balti
Thanks for that.
I'll likely use chicken as lamb is virtually impossible to get here (and when it is available, it's very expensive).
Also, as I'm not keen on sweet foods, I'll substitute ordinary potatoes for the sweet ones.

Re: Balti
Sweet Potatoes are not exactly "sweet" - more like a cross between a carrot and a swede taste/texture wise
