I must stop people cutting their cachi trees while taking note of the number of guests

I almost always get reactions from cashiers when I go to regular grocery stores because they are not used to seeing either so much fresh produce or some specific item that I would buy but their average customer probably wouldn't. I have to tell them things like, "It's a rutabaga. I'm making Cornish pasties." Usually I rather enjoy this and try to take the opportunity to say things like. "More people should try celery root. It has such a lovely mild flavor that most everyone likes if they try it."
This year I am going to try to grow both rutabagas and celery root. We shall see if I manage to get any good results. Last year's celery-root-from-seed-attempts never produced anything for me.

My vote is for the kohl rabi. According to wiki, it's in the same family of vegetables as kale, broccoli and cabbage. Personally, I think they look quite strange, which was why I planted a few in my garden. When they plumped out nicely, I sliced one up and ate it raw in a salad. What a pleasant tasting vegetable! It's got such a nice fragrance to it...and yes the taste kinda does remind me of broccoli. I'll be planting more in the garden again!
