Hi Everyone,
I am a new member here and just wanted to say "Hello," I am a somewhat middle-aged guy who has taken an interest in cooking in the last year or two and am on the hunt to find new recipes and talk to people like me who love good food and drink.....
I look forward to being part of the forum and meeting everyone.

Hello Don, I notice you haven't filled in the bit about where you are from.......you say you are 'transplanted'..........to where?

Hi Again, I am a transplanted Chicago-are native (hence the name "Butkus" as a famous Chicago Bear American football player) and am now in England....
I am still a novice in the kitchen but trying to learn, so much to learn! But I like trying new things, my wife likes Moroccan food so did some Moroccan themed lamb steaks today with bulgar wheat/taboullah and it worked out well....even my 2 year-old son seemed to like it!
